While I'm Waiting.............

How often do we wait for things to happen? Or are you one of those people who cannot wait and you take action and hope things work out for the best?  How many times have we put demands on God asking Him to "make things work NOW"?  Do you dare try to put a timeline on God?  Do you really think you know what is best and what time it should be accomplished in?
As I ponder these questions and more, I must say God taught me the lesson of "waiting on Him" many years ago and I see many that are impatient and have to be in a hurry every minute of the day and they often become frustrated if they get caught in the longest check-out line, get caught by a red light, etc. I notice this because many years ago I was the same exact way, until I finally passed my test in patience and learned that lesson!
You see God knows that "waiting" will be such an important lesson that He mentions this topic in His Holy Word- Holy Bible many times and reminds us in His words- "Be still and know that I am God"!  He did NOT instruct us to push ahead impatiently and make instant decisions in this busy whirlwind we know as life, no He instructed us to BE STILL and KNOW HE IS GOD!  Think about this for a minute, when we are still and surrounded by peace and quiet, we are away from the worldly distractions and it is then that we can hear the still small voice of God. But, if we are in the midst of chaos, we so very often miss the voice of God speaking to us with words of guidance and direction for our life.  God answers our prayers in several ways-  Yes, No, Wait, or even silence.  If you do not receive an immediate answer to your prayer, that does not mean God does not hear you, but there is an important lesson God wants us to learn and will be revealed at God's perfect timing.  If we become impatient and do not wait on God, we are doomed to fail and make a huge mess! I have seen this numerous times in my own life and in others.
Remember, Isaiah 40:31-

Isaiah 40:31-(KJV)

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

God loves us and hears every prayer, He sees our future and knows what decisions are best for us, why would you ultimately choose to "jump the gun" so to speak, and make a decision out of impatience than to wait upon the Lord and know everything is being handled in God's time?
So the next time you have a huge decision to make, go to God and ask His will, guidance and direction for your life, but be willing to wait on His answer on His time, but while you are waiting, continue to serve and love God in all you do!  You will be blessed beyond compare and you will see that every red light you get stopped at, every long line at the checkout is for a purpose and waiting won't be so bad after all!
Be Blessed Friends! The following video is a song from the Fireproof movie and is very appropriate while we wait!

Life Lessons at the Waterfall

Well it has been a long while since my last post and I have alot of "catching up" to do!  Over the past several months, God has revealed quite a Mighty Plan He has and it has been an adventure for me! From having surgery, to a farm filled Christmas celebration, it has been amazing to see God's plans manifested.
I started my day yesterday with a tractor ride down to the waterfall that is on the back of the property, debating on bringing a big glass of water along for the 5 minute tractor ride, I was really thirsty and just decided to keep on going.  I finally made it across the creek and saw the bench in between the trees in a distance, my husband built a "natural" bench- (meaning he found 2 trees that had fallen and made a bench from the trunk of the fallen trees) and I could see the bench as I pulled into the field-
So as you can see the sun was shining down and there was no one around for miles, just me and God.  As I got off the tractor and made my way to the bench I could hear the rustling of the water from the waterfall. The bench is placed perfectly on top of the hill overlooking the waterfall and is quite a peaceful and heavenly place!
As I always do I went into prayer and thanked God for all He does and continues to do and asked God to help me do His will and I knew the last few weeks had been a huge test of patience, justice and obedience. I had asked Him of His plans and it oftentimes seemed I am usually the one that has to endure various tests and trials for a certain reason or purpose. God spoke to me as I inquired if I was in His will and to give me strength for the ongoing trials, His voice was so strong and loving, all at the same time. He said, "My child I love you and you have passed many tests that were unscheduled but ordained and I know your heart and soul and you would not deny me that has been proven no matter what hurt, pain, rejection, injustice, and heartbreak you endure. I am well pleased and the circumstances you are having to go through are not for you".  "There are others that I am dealing with and you are my willing servant that will be a testimony of Me and it is for them that I am dealing with, but you are my willing vessel to reach them".
Then He brought my attention to the huge rock in the waterfall-
Yep, that is it, right there toward the bottom of the picture!
If you look closely, you can see how the water has to make a choice once it flows down to the rock. It either has to make the decision to go left where the water is continuously flowing and is vibrant with life and it flows, or it could go right, where the water puddles and drains into a stagnant non flowing creek which is surrounded by even bigger rocks and debris. If the water decides it wants to get back over into the flowing water, it has to go over rocks, debris and struggle to get there, but it can do it, if it chooses! God revealed this to me that "People are just like the water, they make the choice to go where life is stagnant, depressing, surrounded by negative, rough debris and they only way they can change, is by choosing to go through the rocky debris and rocks of life to get to the river of life, that constantly replenishes, flows and is on it's way to bigger and better things by choosing the river of life, meaning Christ is the Living Water".
Oftentimes, God uses His willing vessels to carry out His will and help direct others away from the stagnant water and allow others to see that the only way to truly live is to follow the Living Water!
So if you are going through some heartaches and struggles, please know they may not be for you, but to help carry out God's plan to bring others to Him.
Remember He loves you and will never leave you and as I got up from my talk with God, I realized I wasn't thirsty anymore! Be Blessed my friends!
